Westford Hill Distillers Farm Tour

Saturday, July 912 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Westford Hill Distillers
196 Chatey Road, Ashford, CT

Westford Hill Distillers sits on a 200 acre property that has been in the Chatey Family since 1919. Current owners Margaret and Louis started the Distillery in 1997, when they began producing eau-de-vie (French for “water of life”), a European style of brandy produced from 100% natural, locally-grown fruit.

Join us as we take a tour of the distillery and discuss the process of spirits production from raw ingredients through fermentation, distillation, and aging. Learn how Westford Hill combines old world techniques with current new world technology, blending European tradition with American craftsmanship.

Westford Hill Distillers sources the locally-grown apples, strawberries, raspberries, Bartlett pears, and Montmorency cherries used to craft their spirits, and will share with us the contributions and expertise that the growers of these fruits have made in their grand experiment, as well as their place in the agricultural community.

After the tour, guests will be invited to a log cabin on the pond, where lunch and a signature cocktail will be provided.

$30 for non-members, $20 for members; children under 10 are free
