Agricultural Easement Workshop for Planners @ Norwich Otis Library
Oct 12 @ 10:15 am – 12:45 pm

Agricultural easements can vary significantly from open space easements, and easement terms can have a significant impact on farmers’ ability to work protected land. In order to help ensure that easements protect the natural resources of farms while also ensuring long-term agricultural viability of the farm operation, we hope to make a deeper impact on those involved in agricultural preservation projects.

Join us to learn how you can help to craft and implement effective agricultural easements. Topics covered will include the difference between a conservation easement and an agricultural easement; critical components of agricultural easements; how agricultural easements can assist towns in achieving goals in their plans of conservation and development.
