We are so excited to invite you! Please join us for a special harvest celebration at Waldingfield Farm with farmers and friends on land farmed for more than 250 years and newly preserved forever as farmland with the Connecticut Farmland Trust (CFT).
You’ll savor locally grown food, enjoy a special cocktail from Litchfield Distillery, and join the farmers for a tour of Waldingfield’s organic vegetable fields with a scenic view of the Litchfield Hills.
After you’ve had a few delectable morsels from an array of hors d’ouevres prepared by Verbena Catering using seasonally available produce from Waldingfield Farm, you’ll be inspired by farmer Patrick Horan talking about what preserving the property has meant for the extended family, and you’ll hear some remarks from Elisabeth Moore, our Executive Director.
Our local farms provide healthy food and serve as economic engines for our communities! They are also disappearing fast in CT. Fortunately, you can work with CFT and our strong community of supporters to do something about it. Join us for a memorable late afternoon in a beautiful location tucked up in the Litchfield Hills!
