Shopping locally from your nearest farmstand, urban community farm, and farmers’ market is more important than ever before.
In 2020, many farms are doubling down or pivoting to direct to consumer sales and are finding creative, low-exposure ways to get food to their communities. This list will help you find CFT-protected farms that have farmstands or sell directly to the public.
Some of these farms offer online shopping, pop-up markets, buying clubs, and even delivery so it may be useful to monitor their social media for updates. Many of these shops are seasonal, so please research the farm that you wish to shop from ahead of time. Be prepared to be understanding of where farmers are at and double-check availability and offerings before you venture to a farm. Thank you for supporting CT agriculture!
