Johnson Farm is nestled on a town-designated scenic road. It was originally purchased by Walter Johnson in 1940, and the family ran it as a dairy farm until 1973. The Potter brothers, another local farm family, leased the 51.6-acre farm for cattle until 2006, when Walter’s son, Eliot Johnson, began his farm operation on the land. The property will continue to be farmed by Eliot Johnson, who now grows hay and raises grass-fed beef.

Johnson Farm was been purchased and protected by Steep Rock Association. In partnership with Steep Rock Association (SRA), CFT will hold the easement on the property in perpetuity.
