Connecticut Farmland Trust partnered with the Town of Lebanon to conserve the 57-acre Cyr Farm.  The farm is made up of 95% prime and important soils and within 2 miles of more than 2,000 acres of active farmland.  Formerly pasture for cattle and sheep, the fields are now leased to a neighboring family dairy farm.  The farm is adjacent to the Lebanon Town Green, the only town green in Connecticut that is still actively farmed.  Cyr Farm is CFT’s 2nd protected farm in Lebanon.

The purchase of an easement on the farm was funded by the USDA/Natural Resources Conservation Service and CFT’s Acquisition Fund.

The farm is privately owned and is not open to the public.
