Steve was born and raised in Kenton, a small town in rural Ohio, where he worked on the family grain and hog farm. Steve is a graduate of The Ohio State University, having obtained a B.S. (’84) and M.S. (’86) in Agricultural Economics. After graduation, Steve moved to Connecticut and started working for Farm Credit East, where he retired in March 2022 as a Senior Vice President and Manager of the Commercial Lending Group.

Since retiring, Steve enjoys playing golf and pickleball; he joined the Connecticut Farmland Trust board in 2025 and volunteers for UR Community and House of Bread. Steve lives in East Hampton with his wife, Andree Corr, and they have 2 adult children, Ryan and Jason.
