Farmland Conservation, Farm Transfer & Agricultural Support

Connecticut Farmland Trust works directly with landowners to protect farmland across the state. In addition to our own programs, there are many organizations and publications that provide helpful guidance on conservation tools, farm transfer planning, agricultural policy, and farm viability.

The resources below are provided for informational purposes. Connecticut Farmland Trust does not maintain the websites of other organizations referenced below, but we believe they offer useful perspectives and practical tools that may be of interest as you explore your options.

Do you have questions about protecting farmland in Connecticut?

We welcome a confidential conversation. Feel free to contact Hannah Abbott, Conservation Coordinator, at 860.247.0202, ext.222 or email [email protected].

Shop Local Support Farms

Shopping locally from your nearest farmstand, urban community farm, and farmers’ market is more important than ever before.

Some of these farms offer online shopping, pop-up markets, buying clubs, and even delivery. Many of these shops are seasonal. Some are year-round.
