Connecticut Farmland Trust works statewide to protect farmland that feeds our communities, sustains local farm businesses, and preserves the character of Connecticut’s towns and rural landscapes.

You’ll find protected farms in nearly every corner of the state, from rolling fields in Litchfield County to coastal farms in New London and small family operations just outside urban centers. Each conserved farm reflects a landowner’s vision and a shared commitment to keeping the land available for farming, forever.

If you want to find out more about why farmers conserve their land, check out examples on our Featured Farms Stories section. You’ll also find additional stories in our newsletters.

The interactive map below shows the farms we’ve helped conserve, including some that offer farm stores and farmstands to buy local food.
