Meet our crew.
Coco is our resident Canine Couch Consultant. As a “senior” (16-17 years old) she does quite a bit of napping – but she does it well! She’s a rescue from Olive Branch, Mississippi who came to live with Sandy Allen and her family in 2007. When she was rescued, they said she was a Basenji mix, possibly mixed with Rat Terrier but some think she may have Corgi in her as well. The Basenji is the only breed of dog that can’t bark (though they can yodel and make other sounds) so she’s a quiet little girl for the most part. She’s become good friends with Matilda, the Director of Greeting.

Connecticut Farmland Trust’s D.O.G., Matilda Moore, is an eight-year-old Beagle mix. Matilda was a rescue from rural Tennessee. She loves Connecticut-grown carrots as well as going to visit farms with CFT fellow staff. She is mildly afraid of livestock. Besides doing her full-time duty of greeting visitors to the Connecticut Farmland Trust, she also fills the roles of Security Officer and Chief Leisure Consultant. At the end of a busy day, she returns to her home with the Executive Director.
